At Windsor, we know that every school day counts. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential for children to achieve their full potential and to develop positive habits that will support them throughout their education and beyond. You can read our Attendance Policy here.

If your child can’t come to school you must inform the school office on 0151 709 6769 by 9.15am. If you do not call by 9.15am you will receive a call from Miss Ginley asking you to explain your child’s absence. If Miss Ginley can’t speak to you, she will come out to your house to complete a home visit.

Why Attendance Matters

  • Children who attend school regularly make better progress both academically and socially.
  • Missing school can lead to gaps in learning, making it harder for children to keep up with their peers.
  • Good attendance helps children build friendships, confidence, and a sense of belonging.

Why Punctuality Matters

  • Arriving on time ensures children start the day calmly and ready to learn.
  • Being late can be disruptive to the class and unsettling and distressing for the child.
  • Being late means the child will miss key learning at the start of the day.
  • Punctuality is a key life skill that supports future success in education and employment.

We work in partnership with families to promote excellent attendance and punctuality. If you are experiencing difficulties, please speak to Miss Ginley—we’re here to help.

Together, let’s make every minute of learning count.
