Our school is proud to be a vibrant, multilingual community with over 30 languages spoken by our families. We celebrate this diversity and ensure that every child who speaks English as an additional language is fully supported to succeed. We have a number of staff who speak Arabic, Farsi, Bangladeshi, and Kurdish, this helps us to communicate effectively with families. We use a range of strategies to help EAL learners, including visual resources, language-rich classrooms, and targeted interventions to develop vocabulary and confidence in speaking, reading, and writing. We work closely with parents to maintain strong home-school links and value children’s first languages as an important part of their identity and learning journey.
