Our school lunches are provided by Food For Thought, a not-for-profit school meals company which is owned by its member schools. We offer a nutritious and balanced meal each day. All meat served is halal, and children are also welcome to bring a packed lunch from home if preferred. School meals cost £2.40 per day, totalling £12 per week. Children in Reception, Year 1, and Year 2 are entitled to Universal Free School Meals, meaning they can enjoy a hot lunch at no cost.

Families who receive qualifying benefits may also be eligible for income-related free school meals for children in Year 3 and above. To apply, please visit the Liverpool City Council Free School Meals page and complete the online application via the Citizen Portal. You’ll need your National Insurance or NASS number to check eligibility. Applying also helps us as a school to receive additional funding through the Pupil Premium. If you need help in completing the online form please com in and speak to Miss Ginley or Mr Haughton.

If your child has any food allergies or dietary requirements, please inform the school office as soon as possible. Food For Thought can accommodate a range of needs, and we work closely with families to ensure every child’s safety and wellbeing at mealtimes.

If your child has a packed lunch we encourage all families to provide healthy packed lunches that support children’s learning and wellbeing throughout the school day. Packed lunches should include a balanced variety of foods such as fruit, vegetables, whole grains, and a source of protein. Please note that items such as burgers, chips, pizza, fizzy drinks, and sweets are not permitted, as they do not meet our healthy eating guidelines. Thank you for helping us promote a positive and nutritious food culture in school.
